I was thinking about taking a short ride today since the weather was nice (about 7c) and it will be raining/snowing the next couple of days. I started looking for my main motorcycle key. Seems I may have lost it. What a pain in the ass!!! gotta hate jeans that have holes in the pockets.
I guess it's a good reminder to bring a spare with me and leave a spare at home. I don't want to have to change all the locks on the bike (toolkit, helmet lock and ignition). I bought some blanks online... I'll see how they do.
some more purchases recently. A tent, inflateable matress, multifuel cook stove, bear pepper spray and a bunch of odds and ends for camping and for the bike.
I also got a 3 gallon external tank that I'll have to mount on the bike somehow when I get it.
I bought The Milepost trip planner and a book by Neil Peart, the drummer from Rush. The book is called Ghost Rider: Travels on the Healing Road. I started reading last night and couldn't put it down. It also made me think of my trip, my frame of mind and my purpose. It also made me think to not be an ass on the roads, because you never know who you could bump into or pass the other way. Imagine bumping into Neil Peart! That would be awesome.
I said it made me think... I didn't say I had the answers. heh.
It made me think that this is the type of trip that i may not make back from. If it is so, than so be it... it'll be doing something I love. It makes me wonder if riding is my life sometimes.
On another note, I need to remind myself to say hi to Greg in Inuvik, from Josee at Trailhead in Ottawa. For such a vast stretch of land... Canada is a very small place.
